Over the weekend of November 13th, Judo MB team members participated at the 2021 QC Open that was held in Montreal, QC.

Following are the athletes’ results:

U16 Female

U18 Female

-48kg – Kiandra Christ-Bonnell – Nakamura Judo Club – 5th

U18 Male

-81kg – Daniel Ekosky – Selkirk Judo Club – Silver

Senior Male

-73kg – Justin Ekosky – Selkirk Judo Club – 5th
-100kg – Michael Akbashev – BP Judo Club – Bronze

Update: The 2022 Manitoba Open has been cancelled.

Unfortunately the decision was made to cancel the Manitoba Open tournament at this time. With this new variant, we anticipate the public health orders will be extended further and as this is a national tournament coaches were needing to book air travel, so we had to make the unfortunate decision based on the current conditions. 

We hope to reschedule to later in the year as soon as we see an improvement in the situation.
