Southwest Kagami-Biraki

The Southwest Judo Club will be holding a “Kagami-Biraki” or “Rice Cake Cutting Ceremony ” on January 11^th, 2020 at Mary Montgomery School with the opening bow at 10am.  All are invited and there will be a lunch for all attending about 12 noon.  We are entering our 15^th year of Judo in Virden and this celebration should be a lot of fun.  This will be a time of Judo demonstration (Principle of Ju and Ukemi) and Kata, as well as; an opening training for all on the mat.  The program will be a mix of East meets West to Celebrate the New Year.   In our program we have a time for remembrances of Friends gone.  This is an open opportunity for participants to share a memory of a friend gone.
